Libertas et humanis
The concept of 'human being' throughout history has been diverse and contradictory. Nicole Dewandre suggests that today this concept is fragmented, while Herman Hesse, in his work Demian, seeks personal self realization as the key to rediscovering the lost meaning of human existence. According to Hesse, even in his time, the understanding of human beings was fractured, exacerbated by the freedom
that seems to have blurred this concept. In summary, the concept of being human is in constant evolution and rupture, influenced by freedom, fear thereof, and the impact of information and technology in our lives.
