Knowledge Management in Hotel Administration in Colombia
Competition and globalization are phenomena that affect all sectors and organizations, including the hotel sector. Today, human resource is assumed as the largest repository of knowledge and therefore the largest generator of value to respond to that environment, and it becomes imperative to perform management so that it can materialize. With the current speeches about quaternary or information sector in a post-industrial society often interchangeably referred to as information society or knowledge society, the role of management in Colombian hotels deserves consideration regarding generation of skills
in staff and determination about how to strategically take on information and knowledge management.
