Traducción
Disertación I. De la identidad personal
Joseph Butler (1692–1752) is one of the most prominent English philosophers and theologians of the eighteenth century. The present translation corresponds to one of the short texts that the Bishop added to The Analogy of Religion, to the Constitution and Course of Nature. In it, he reflects on personal identity and engages with the arguments of one of the most eminent philosophers of modernity: John Locke. The original text in English, on which we based our translation, is part of Project Gutenberg.
