Scope
Humanitas Hodie is specifically focused on three disciplinary fields: the human sciences (philosophy, anthropology, sociology, history, cultural studies and related fields), educational sciences and religious studies. In this last field, it should be noted that articles that address religious phenomena from a theological perspective as well as rigorous reflections from the humanities and social sciences about religion will be taken into consideration. In this way, the journal aspires to promote discussion and disciplinary examination but also trans-, inter-, multi-disciplinary, intercultural and interreligious with the aim of accounting for the de facto plurality of the public sphere.
Aim
Humanitas Hodie aims to contribute, disseminate and deepen academic and social debates in the areas of the humanities, educational sciences and religious studies.
Audience
It is aimed at the national and international academic community and also at public opinion, aiming not only to expand our understanding of various social problems but also to contribute, from an academic and rigorous perspective, to public debate. Thus, it seeks to be an effective body for dissemination and reflection so that teachers, researchers, students and the general public can participate in the debate and be aware of contemporary social problems.
Originality
Humanitas Hodie will consider for publication unpublished texts freely submitted by authors and that meet the ethical, scientific and editorial standards of a scientific publication. Texts will be published in Spanish and English. Texts in other languages may be received for evaluation and, if approved by the peers, their translation will be considered. The editor, the scientific and editorial committees and above all national and international anonymous peers who have demonstrable expertise on the disciplines and topics to be evaluated will participate in the editorial process.
