Armed conflict and post-agreement as drivers of feminism in Colombia
Has the armed conflict transformed women's roles in Colombia? This paper aims to evaluate the diversity of scenarios and roles that women acquired during the armed conflict in Colombia. To guide the course of this research and the possibility of evaluating some post-agreement scenarios, this text proposes: (1) to make an epistemological consideration on the part of Latin American feminism that takes into account the plurality of violent narratives in Latin America; (2) to analyze narratives of women participants in the war that allow us to evaluate the role of women beyond their simple victimization; (3) to examine the situation of women within the Colombian war conflicts and to present how it differs from war situations in Europe. All these points allow us to evaluate how the war in Colombia has been fundamental to contemplate women's roles beyond that of a victim, such as, for example, women activists who have participated in reconciliation and the exercise of historical memory during the peace agreement and post-agreement. This achievement promotes a future of feminism that opens new spaces of action for women, which remain to be explored due to the limitations of this work.
