The following article stems from the question: In what ways do indigenous literatures construct a critical interculturality in the school context in Colombia? Firstly, we will revisit the state of the question regarding how knowledge has been integrated into the school and the basic learning rights in the context of education in Colombia. Subsequently, we will present the intercultural critical perspective, and similarly, the approach to linguistic diversity. Consequently, we will delve into indigenous literatures and the development of a methodology of authorship. The main conclusions are as follows: a) the school is a valuable setting to enhance the power of indigenous literatures from the Spanish subject, not only from the social studies context, b) the creation of a practical methodology results from pedagogical experiences and can be useful for various teachers wishing to integrate this knowledge into their classroom, c) in our country, it remains crucial to consider a critical interculturality in the school.
